WHAT: Sushi & Japanese Grill Bar

One of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Istanbul. Although I cannot vouch for the grill menu which I have yet to try; the appetisers and sushi selection are great. There are all the traditional dishes you would expect to find at a Japanese restaurant however the range of rolls tend to have a twist to them and some are rather original and innovative - so maybe not recommended for those looking for the ultimate classic Japanese venue but nevertheless, speaking as someone who prefers classic, I would say it's worth a try.

(*Recommended: The salmon or tuna tartars, and signature sushi rolls)

OCCASION: Casual lunch or dinner - when in the mood for sushi obviously! As a couple or group.

ENVIRONMENT: Quite a small place with a grill room behind and a main room in front. As it is now quite popular in the neighbourhood it may be hard to find places especially weekend evenings so I would recommend reserving. Has a small outdoor terrace out front which opens up in the summer and is "closed" and heated (as much as can be for a glass room) in the winter.

AMBIANCE: Japanese minimal decor with open sushi bar. Cozy. Couples, friends and families with children.

STYLE: As you feel comfortable; no need to dress up or down.

LOCATION: Etiler, Istanbul
